Starting with a social media audit, I refined the Instagram account to make it better align with the main magazines page. Then, after researching our current millennial audience and target GenZ audience I began incorporating more reels, trends, interactive story polls, and sharable graphics to better engage our followers and broaden our community. In under 90 days I increased our following by over 1k, improved our engagement by 124% and increased our reach by 177%.

Broccoli City
I developed an engagement strategy to increase our GenZ following and overall engagement across all social media platforms. This strategy required 5+ hours of community management split between Instagram, TikTok and X(Twitter) daily; commenting on top creators posts and responding to our own comments and DMs using our newly refined brand voice. It also included producing curated playlists and incorporating zodiac sign related posts to target niche subgroups. I also developed my own video series promoting Black Owned restaurants in the DMV area. All of these new implementations resulted in a 32% follower increase on Instagram 900% on TikTok in 9 months.



Campaign Rollout & Influencer Marketing
I strategized a culturally relevant music festival rollout, engaging our GenZ audience and their community. This included initially releasing the lineup in emojis only, creating giveaways and interacting with our audience daily. I also curated our first ever influencer campaign and PR boxes. The creativity behind this rollout generated a buzz before the official lineup was released, organic content from both influencers and supporters, and a total of 900k+ impressions across platforms. One creator even analyzed our strategy in a video.
