Washingtonian Events

When I first started with the Washingtonian Magazine Events team, I was tasked with taking over and improving their social media presence on Instagram. I started with cleaning up and rebranding their account to make it better align with the main magazines page. Then, after researching our audience I decided it was best to begin incorporating more reels, interactive story polls, and sharable graphics to better engage our followers and attract new ones. In under 90 days I increased our following by over 1k, improved our engagement by 124% and increased our reach by 177%.

Broccoli City

At the beginning of 2023, I developed a strategy to increase our GenZ following and overall engagement across all social media platforms. This strategy included 5+ hours of community management split between Instagram, TikTok and X(Twitter) daily. Meaning commenting on top creators posts and responding to our own comments and DMs using our newly defined brand voice. This also included producing curated playlists and incorporating zodiac sign related posts to target niche subgroups. I also developed my own video series promoting Black Owned restaurants in the DMV area. All of these new implementations resulted in a 32% increase following on Instagram 900% on TikTok in 9 months.
